UP Manila Dominates Chemist Licensure Exam, Sampaco is No. 1

Six Biochemistry graduates of the College of Arts and Sciences of the University of the Philippines Manila (UPM) were among the top ten passers with the highest scores in the recent Chemist Licensure Examination last 15 - 16 September 2015. Abdul-Rashid Batara Sampaco III got the highest score of 92.25. Gabriel Luis Limpo Neri took the second place with a score of 91.25. Aaron John Tan Balana and Edward Gabrielle Victoriano Hilvano shared the number 3 spot with a score of 90.25. John Louis Villanueva is at number 4 with a score of 89.75 while Marvin Vergara Pelovello landed on number 9 with a score of 87.75.

The Professional Regulation Commission announced that 414 out of 711 passed the said examination. UPM posted the highest passing rate of 96.30%. This is the fourth time a graduate of the Biochemistry program of UPM topped the Licensure Exam.
