With the theme “Haykapnayan: Siyentipikong Diwa sa Paglilingkod ng Bayan”, the UP Biochemistry society held HAYKAPNAYAN 2026: National Biochemistry Quiz Bee last January 29-30, 2026 at the UP Manila Theater.
As part of the Biochemistry Society Week, the event gathered 65 high school students from 12 different schools to compete in a Biochemistry quiz bee. The winners were students from the Philippine Science High School Main Campus, namely Kyush Cian Cabilino, Min Sung Lee, and Clarice Ilonah Chavez.
