The Department of Physical Sciences and Mathematics (DPSM) of the College of Arts and Sciences is now beaming with pride as two of its faculty members were awarded the title “UP Scientist” for the 2024-2026 cycle under the UP Scientific Productivity System (SPS).
The new UP Scientists from DPSM are Dr. Alex C. Gonzaga and Dr. Ma. Sheila A. Magboo. Both of them received the title UP Scientist I. The SPS aims to support the development of science and technology, and encourage and reward scientific productivity in the university. The Award provides esteemed recognition, material incentives, and a supportive environment that promotes advanced scientific productivity for national development.
Each UP Scientist receives monetary award for three years. Congratulations to the new DPSM UP Scientists!
