BS Biochemistry students had a Laboratory Immersion activity at the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) Radioisotope Laboratory last June 20, 2025. Now on its 4th year, this activity for the Chem 111 course (Inorganic Chemistry I) aims to expose the students to the real-life application of Nuclear Chemistry in a hospital/clinical setting. The students observed and had a tour of the different laboratory equipment, facilities, and services of the lab which include Radioimmunoassays, Scintigraphic imaging, and Therapy.
The students were accompanied by Dr. Julius Andrew Nunez, Dr. Joey Andrew Valinton, and Asst. Prof. Anabel Abulencia. The lab immersion was made possible through the support of Dr. Ruben Ogbac, Head and Chief of the Radioisotope Laboratory, Division of Nuclear Medicine of PGH.
