Mr. John Kevin Ceasar Palay, a 2024 graduate of the BS Biochemistry program, received the Best Poster Presentation Award (Honorable Mention) at the Joint International Tropical Medicine Meeting 2024 held in Bangkok, Thailand last December 11-13, 2024.
Out of 84 poster presenters, Palay is one of the six recipients of the Best Poster Presentation Award (Honorable Mention) for his study “Salmonella enterica subsp. enterica Detection via Colorimetric Loop-Mediated Isothermal Amplification (cLAMP) Assay Targeting Salmonella Invasion Protein A (sipA) Gene.”
The study is a collaboration between the ChemBiochem Unit of DPSM-UP Manila, Natural Sciences Research Institute, and Manila Healthtek Inc. Congratulations to Mr. Palay and to his thesis advisers Ms. Joanne O. Ancajas and Ms. Ciara Christianne Y. Lim.
