Mr. Aldren B. Gonzales, a PhD in Health Sciences student of the Department of Physical Sciences and Mathematics won the Best Presenter Award during the 7th University of the Philippines Manila (UPM) Graduate Students’ Colloquium (GSC) on September 19 and 20, 2024 at the Admiral Hotel Manila.
His study entitled “Observational Medical Outcomes Partnership (OMOP) Common Data Model (CDM) Implementation in Asia and Application in Local Drug Vocabularies: Making a Case for the Adoption in the Philippines” bested other presenters in the Health Informatics category of the GSC. His adviser is Dr. Geoffrey A. Solano. The two-day event was attended by about 300 guests which included deans, head of units, faculty members, students, and the general public. The GSC was an online event via Zoom.
