Dr. Geoffrey Solano won the Excellent Paper Award during the International Conference on Artificial Intelligence in Information Communication 2026 held in Tokyo, Japan last February 24-27, 2026.
His research entitled “Exploring the Role of Transposons in Predicting Antimicrobial Resistance in Tuberculosis and Its Co-infections Using Explainable Machine Learning” bested other papers from Japan, South Korea and other countries. ICAIIC 2026 is the 8th edition of the conference. It focuses on advances in ICT research, covering topics from core ICT technology to emerging AI applications for ICTs. It organized by the Korean Institute of Communications and Information Sciences (KICS), Tokyo University of Science, Japan, and Kookmin University, Korea, and technically co-sponsored by IEEE ComSoc, IEICECS, and the IEICE NOLTA Society.
