UP Vector celebrated their Applied Physics Week 2026 last February 16-20, 2026.
The first major event of Applied Physics Week 2026 was the highly anticipated “ApPhy Bee”, an intercollege quiz bee. Through a series of exciting rounds, the ApPhy Bee highlighted UP Vector’s continued commitment to fostering academic excellence and enthusiasm for physics within the university community. The winning contestants were from the INTARMED program.
Another highlight of the week-long celebration was “Radiate Your Future” , held on February 18, 2026. The event was designed to guide undergraduate students of the BS Applied Physics program as they explore potential career paths beyond graduation. Through this initiative, UP Vector brought together distinguished alumni who shared their professional journeys, from their experiences as BS Applied Physics students to their current careers in diverse fields. UP Vector also featured a lively physical games event entitled “ApPhy-sikalan” conducted on the afternoon of February 18, 2026. The event provided an opportunity for BS Applied Physics students to showcase not only their intellectual strengths but also their energy, teamwork, and competitive spirit through a series of engaging games. The Culminating Activity “What the Force?” was held on February 20, 2026. The activity featured a Minute-to-Win-It style game show, bringing excitement and friendly competition to the Applied Physics community. Participants in the event included representatives from freshman to senior BS Applied Physics students, as well as members of the Physics and Geology Unit faculty, creating an engaging environment that encouraged interaction across different year levels and between students and faculty.
Congratulations to the UP Vector and BS Applied Physics Students.
