Dr. John Mark Pabona Speaks About the "Current Methods in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology"

The Department of Physical Sciences and Mathematics held a lecture series on “Current Methods in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology” on June 25, 26, 29 and July 1 and 2, 2010 with their alumnus, Dr. John Mark Pabona as resource speaker and trainer.

In her report, Dr. Marcelina Lirazan, DPSM Chair, indicated that "The seminar-workshop is in line with our objective of  updating our faculty and students with advances and new developments in molecular biology and biotechnology."

Dr. Pabona is a Post Doctoral Fellow in the Department of Physiology and Biophysics at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and Arkansas Children Nutrition Center. He is also a graduate of BS Biochemistry in 2002 and UP College of Medicine in 2007.

DR. RICOLINDO CARIÑO was honored last May in the Balik-Scientist Program of the DOST. He is a Faculty (Assistant Research Professor) of the Center for Advanced Vehicular Systems of the Mississipi State University. Completed B.Sc. Applied Mathematics with honors, in three years under an accelerated program, at the University of the Philippines Los Baños. Obtained Ph.D. Computer Science from La Trobe University, Melbourne, Australia, in 1993. Came to MSU-ERC as postdoctoral researcher in 1994, and again as visiting researcher in 2001.
